Our Story
Located in the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta, Skin IQ is a premier medspa destination for men and women seeking advanced individualized skincare in a private environment, using the latest regenerative skin treatments to slow the pace of aging and enhance natural beauty. Lidia's path to entrepreneurship started just after college graduation in Bucharest, Romania in 1995. Upon completing the requirements for a Physician's Assistant degree, she accepted a position with the Ritz-Carlton Hotels in Dubai in 1998. Selected for the luxury hotel’s corporate management training program, she relocated to Atlanta (then the Ritz-Carlton headquarters) in year 2000. This foundation eventually shaped her philosophy of structural skin quality—understanding that true skin health requires precision, science, and personalization. It was on a skin care consultation for her wedding that Lidia discovered a new vocational passion: medical skin care and advanced anti-aging medspa treatments focused on long-term skin transformation. Lidia graduated in 2002 from the International School of Esthetics which led to an apprenticeship with the prominent Dr. Jean Chapman. In 2006, she launched Skin IQ Med spa with a mission to create a skin transformation clinic built on customized protocols, advanced technologies, and a deep understanding of aging velocity skin and long-term skin health. In 2006, she launched Skin IQ Medspa and she is the creator of the Skin IQ Structural Method™ ans the Skin Aging Velocity Score, a 30 years experience and evidence-informed approach to optimizing skin health, structural aging, and long-term facial vitality.

Kristin Boehm
MD, FACS
Dr. Boehm is a double board certified plastic surgeon with fellowship training in Aesthetic and Oculoplastic Surgery. She is a cum laude graduate of Dartmouth College and attended the University of Rochester for medical school and general surgery residency. She completed her plastic surgery residency at the University of Utah and moved to Atlanta for her Aesthetics fellowship. Outside of office hours you'll likely find Dr. Boehm on a long run with her rescue dog, working a volunteer shift at the Atlanta Humane Society or planning her next adventure vacation .

With more than 25 years of experience in aesthetics, laser medicine, and skin rejuvenation, she combines clinical expertise with a deep understanding of skin biology, facial aging, regenerative aesthetics, and whole-person wellness. Lidia completed Physician Assistant medical training at Medical School in Romania before pursuing advanced education in medical aesthetics in the United States. Throughout her career she has earned extensive certifications in advanced aesthetic procedures, laser technologies, facial rejuvenation, and regenerative skin therapies, continually integrating emerging scientific research into clinical practice. She is a: Licensed Medical Esthetician (25 years) Certified Laser Practitioner with numerous advanced laser certifications Certified Health Coach through the Chopra Health Certification Program, with training in Ayurvedic health principles, mindfulness, and holistic wellness Certified Reiki Practitioner Certified Emotional Intelligence Analyst using the Mayer-Salovey-Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test (MSCEIT) Graduate of Cognitively-Based Compassion Training (CBCT®) through the Center for Contemplative Science and Compassion-Based Ethics at Emory University Lidia believes that exceptional aesthetic outcomes require more than treating the surface of the skin. Her philosophy integrates structural skin support, regenerative science, lifestyle medicine, emotional well-being, and personalized treatment planning to help patients maintain healthy, resilient skin as they age. Her clinical interests include structural facial aging, collagen biology, skin longevity, regenerative aesthetics, peptides, hormonal influences on skin health, inflammation, and evidence-based technologies that preserve natural beauty over time. Outside the clinic, Lidia enjoys traveling, art, studying abstract expressionism, music, dancing, astrology, quantum physics, and the intersection of science, philosophy, and human consciousness. In 2026 she began pursuing painting as a dedicated artistic practice, exploring abstract expressionism as another way of understanding complexity, beauty, and interconnectedness.

With over 16 years of expertise in the skincare and beauty industry, and extensive experience ranging from advanced laser training to certifications in microcurrent therapy, microneedling, Anne treatments, and chemical peels, you are in great hands with Amy! Additionally, Amy holds an international certification in beauty and facial electrical treatments from the International Therapy Examination Council (ITEC), recognized in 33 countries. Her passions include gardening, traveling, spending time with loved ones, and cheering for her hometown team — the Kansas City Chiefs!
